A NEW KIND OF UTILITY

Your Electric Bill Has a Ceiling Problem

Rates only go up. There's a way to lock yours in — for 50 years.

See Why Rates Keep Rising

The Bill That Never Stops Climbing

Utility rates aren't flat — they're tiered, and they rise every year for every customer, regardless of how much you use. What starts at a few cents per kilowatt-hour can jump to 15–20¢ or more before the month is over. And next year, that whole scale shifts higher again.

There's no ceiling on what the utility can charge. There is on what you pay.

Charging an EV at home? Rocky Mountain Power adds a Tier 2 surcharge on top of these rising rates — your exposure is even higher if you haven't set up a home charger yet.

The Difference Adds Up

Based on an average Utah bill, locking your rate today means real money back in your pocket — every month, for the next 50 years.

Here's the mechanism behind it: net metering. Most afternoons, your panels produce more than your home is using — that excess flows back onto the grid, and your utility credits your account at the same rate. At night, when your panels aren't producing, you draw from the grid and spend those credits first. The meter runs both ways, so you're only ever billed for the difference.

Day

Panels produce more than you use — the excess exports to the grid

Night

You draw from the grid — billed against the credit you built up that day

No Bank. No Catch.

Grid Plus isn't a loan, and it isn't financed through a bank. It's a single prepaid lease — 50 years of power, spread into one fixed monthly payment. Grid Plus owns and maintains the system, so the equipment itself is the security. There's nothing to qualify for.

If You Move

The lease transfers with the house

Compare that to a solar loan, where dealer fees of 20–30% get baked into the price before you own anything — or a PPA, where you never own the system and an annual escalator quietly raises your bill. Grid Plus skips both.

There's no bank standing between you and solar. Just a roof, and a rate.

The Grid Goes Down. You Don't.

Storms, downed lines, grid overloads — outages don't check the forecast. Every Grid Plus system ships with battery backup built in, standard. When the grid drops, your home doesn't notice.

Step 1

Grid loses power

Step 2

Battery kicks in automatically

Step 3

Your home stays powered

Battery backup included standard — not an upsell

The rest of the neighborhood waits for the power company. You don't.

Skeptical? Good.

A 50-year commitment should raise questions. Here are the three we hear most — answered straight, no spin.

What happens if I move?

The lease transfers with the home. Most buyers see locked-in solar as a feature — the next owner gets the same monthly rate you locked in.

Why hasn't a bigger company done this?

Most solar companies make their money on closing the deal when they come out the first time. They're not in the business of paying off your system or working with you over a 50-year term.

What happens if I stop paying my power bill?

Same thing that happens with your current utility — your power gets shut off. The difference is your rate never went up.

Every long-term deal has fine print. Ours fits on one page.

Built Right. Backed for 50 Years.

Every system is installed by vetted local Utah crews, and every install is personally signed off before Grid Plus calls the job done. Because Grid Plus owns the equipment for the full 50-year term, maintenance and repairs are on us. If a panel fails, we fix it.

Repairs

On us — Grid Plus owns the equipment

That includes the roof itself. If a leak develops anywhere the system was installed while your warranty is active, Grid Plus handles the repair — not you.

If something breaks, that's not your problem. It's ours.

Rates Keep Rising. Yours Doesn't Have To.

You've seen the math — the climbing rates, the savings, the fine print that doesn't exist. The only thing left is finding out your number.
